Why Seek Chiropractic Treatment?

  • You want to find the solution to your pain and not just a drug for a symptom.
    1. All drugs have potential side-effects.
    2. Many drugs, even Tylenol, are toxic to your liver to a degree.
  • Every treatment procedure has potential complications, but surgery is the most life altering both good and bad
    1. Replacement parts have a finite life period. eg. Knee replacement has a 20 yr effective period
    2. Spinal fusion will likely have increased motion and arthritis above and below the level of fusion
    3. Carpal tunnel surgery can fail to succeed if there are other common nerve compression sites.
  • You should get treated if the pain does not go away after a week or you have relapses which seem to progressively get worse. It is always best to treat any problem early or get checked early by any doctor.

In general, the longer a problem goes untreated, the more damage and more difficult it is to treat chronic pain. The conditions above are based on outcome studies & personal clinical experience. Individual results may vary. Get checked and treated early. Why wait for the pain to go away? Graston Technique recommends 8-12 treatments according to their research. Generally, I try a handful of treatments and assess the progress of pain from there.

If a problem you are having is not listed, I may be able to still help you. Feel free to call or email the doctor with your question. The secretary may not be able to answer some questions so ask for a consultation.

¹More Research Is Needed
Fibromyalgia is still not completely understood as a disease. First, it was said to be a muscle disease such as a myopathy and now it is being touted to be a neurological disease. An example of a neurological disease is multiple sclerosis but fibromyalgia is unlike MS or any neurological disease that I can think of. I have treated patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia by medical doctors. However, I do not make any claims to cure or treat a true neurological disease or true myopathy. There are clearly postural issues and specific myofascial / muscle problems that can be helped. Perhaps, they were misdiagnosed also. I hope to raise questions on other issues such as scoliosis in the future. The medical industry & research community, as well as other health professionals, know only a fraction of the secrets in the body. Someday, I would love to participate in research in musculoskeletal issues such as fibromyalgia or scoliosis for Chiropractic and everyone. This is a work in progress and will likely be tweaked in the future as more research comes out and people's understanding with musculoskeletal issues change.

Testimonial

Dr. Tsai's technique is very deep tissue and he knows how to work the muscles and the connectivity tissues to help the body to get realigned. He really cares about his patients and that carries over to his dedication in applying his techniques. I recommend him highly. He has helped every member of my family, even my two young children when they get into playground incidents, injuring their neck, shoulders or back.
